Philosophy & Mission

Academy for Kids Preschool we aim to promote the general development of preschool children in a safe and stimulating environment through an active educational program focused on learning. Our program is designed to encourage hands-on activities and fun games to facilitate exploration and experience for optimal learning. Along with academic growth, the preschool also prioritizes the development of social and emotional skills, teamwork, healthy expression of feelings, and self-confidence to support children’s well-being and future success. We work collaboratively with families to provide personalized attention to each child’s needs and abilities.

Our Classrooms

Based on decades of experience, we have designed classrooms to create an atmosphere where education and safety are priorities. Our developmentally-appropriate classrooms feature:

  • Floor-to-ceiling, tempered glass walls and doors, which give children a preview of their next level classroom and aids in their transition into that class
  • Separate, clean storage for each child’s personal belongings
  • Child-sized handwashing facilities
  • Separate children’s restrooms

Direct access to fenced-in, gated playgrounds.

Safety & Security

At Academy for Kids Preschool we create a security and protection program with the following characteristics:

•Personnel trained in CPR and first aid for infants, children, and adults
• Dedicated room (rest) to meet medical needs
•Strict background checks on all staff.
•Secure entrances with restricted access for visitors
•Closed circuit cameras that are continuously monitored by staff
• Password-protected internet viewing of classrooms, playgrounds, and cafeteria
•Tempered glass walls and doors for situational awareness
•Preparation plan for emergencies and inclement weather

Balanced Nutrition

Various studies have shown that practicing family-style meals improves social skills, and table manners, and increases conversation skills. Our nutritious meal program is designed with these attributes in mind and features:

• Conversation at lunchtime focused on nutrition education
• Well-balanced and healthy meals prepared by the chef on site
• Protocols to protect children with food allergies

For bottle-fed infants, families must provide prepared formula or breast milk put into bottles. All baby items must be marked with the child’s first and last name. We will inform you of the policy on infant feeding

Appropriate play areas

Time outside is all about exploring our natural surroundings, developing physical skills, and enhancing brain growth.

• We have a well-designed playground designed specifically for babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children.
• Supervised free play to promote physical fitness and development.
• Educational activities in the outdoor classroom.
