Here are some answers to the questions that families ask us most often.
Are you a licenser?
We take extra care to ensure that each of our Goddard School locations is licensed in their specific state before opening. States also conduct annual and semi-annual licensing visits to ensure our Schools remain in compliance. If you have any further questions regarding licensing, please contact your local school to learn more.
What ages of children do you accept?
We accept children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old.
What are your hours of operation?
Our current hours of operation are 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Are you open during school holidays?
The school will be closed in observance of the following Holidays: New Year`s Day, MLK, Good Friday, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving (Thurs & Fri), Christmas Eve & Day. If a holiday falls on a Saturday, we will close the Friday before. If a holiday falls on a Sunday, we will close the following Monday. Full tuition is due for weeks that include holidays or closings due to inclement weather.
What if I want to talk to my child's teacher during the day?
It’s as easy as calling the school and telling us you’d like to speak with your child’s teacher. We can then transfer your call directly to your classroom. Otherwise, we encourage family-school partnerships and use a tool that allows us to email you daily communications about your child’s day.
What are the benefits of your childcare program?
At Academy for Kids Preschool, our unique curriculum goes far beyond the state standards. Our standards-driven learning goals give teachers the tools to engage children in a fun and meaningful activities, which in turn fosters a strong foundation for their educational future and beyond.
Is playtime / outdoor time available?
At our school, children enjoy time outside every day. We have four outdoor play areas, each designed for specific ages and separated from the other three areas. Children have set times in both the morning and afternoon to explore their outside world. Additionally, to ensure your safety, our school has six-foot fencing around the perimeter of the play areas. Play equipment is state of the art and Academy for Kids Preschool meets federal regulations regarding safety equipment and surrounding drop zones.
Are meals and snacks provided?
Yes, offers healthy and delicious meals for breakfast, lunch, and snacks, and we have staff trained in nutrition to make sure children receive the proper nutrients for their development. Also, we are a peanut-free facility and have safety measures in place to protect children. If you are looking for a safe and nutritious place for your child, we are here to help!

How do you handle severe weather, fire, or emergency situations?
In the event of an emergency such as severe weather, fire, physical damage to the building, or any other threatening situation, we will notify each parent using various methods, such as our social media, such as our Instagram page, as well as through our tool notification that will send a text message directly to your mobile device or phone. At all times, we make sure to keep parents informed and up-to-date on the safety of their children at our center.
