The Academy for Kids Preschool philosophy is based on the belief that children learn best through exploration and experience. We teach using the CREATIVE curriculum. This curriculum is based on five fundamental principles. They guide us and help us understand the reasons for intentionally establishing and operating preschool programs in particular ways. These are the principles:

Learning through exploration and experience:

The Creative Curriculum promotes active learning and children’s participation through exploration and experimentation. Children learn while playing and experimenting with the environment.

Research-Based Approach:

The Creative Curriculum is based on research on the development and learning of preschool-age children. It is tailored to the individual needs of each child and different teaching strategies are used to support learning.

Development of skills and knowledge:

The program focuses on the development of skills and knowledge in key areas such as language, mathematics, science, socialization, and creativity.

Focus on Relationships:

The Creative Curriculum focuses on building positive relationships between children, teachers, and families. Teachers work to establish an environment of trust and safety in which children feel valued and supported.

Continuous Assessment:

The Creative Curriculum uses a continuous assessment approach to measure children’s progress and development. Teachers use a variety of tools and techniques to assess children’s progress and adapt the curriculum to meet their individual needs.
